Microneedling

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure using thin needles that's commonly used to treat a variety of skin concerns, including: Scars, Enlarged pores, Wrinkles, Stretch marks, and Uneven skin tone. Microneedling works by stimulating the skin's healing process, which causes the body to produce more collagen and elastin. These proteins help keep the skin firm and smooth.

Treatments are usually spaced 3–8 weeks apart, and multiple sessions are needed to see the desired results.

Performance of 4 treatments at monthly intervals is recommended.

I use Ferulic acid, then Hyaluronic acid and DNA

After cleansing your skin, the treatment begins with the application of Ferulic acid, after which micro puncturing begins in order to press the acid deeper into the skin and, thus, intensify its effect. At the end of the treatment, a serum with DNA, Hyaluronic acid is applied, which stimulates synthesis of elastin and collagen and moisturises the skin.

  • Ferulic acid is an organic compound derived from plant cells. It belongs to a group of chemicals called hydroxycinnamic acids. Ferulic acid may benefit the skin in various ways, including:

Repairing and protecting damaged skin cells
Ferulic acid may help neutralize atoms called free radicals that break down the body’s cells and contribute to aging.

Protecting the skin from harmful UV rays
Ferulic acid may help reduce photoaging, the medical term for sun-induced skin damage.

Reducing skin inflammation
The 2018 review found that ferulic acid may be an effective anti-inflammatory.

Boosting the effects of other skin care ingredients and procedures
Ferulic acid can increase the effectiveness of other skin care ingredients, such as the antioxidant vitamins C and E.

Evening and brightening skin tone
Hyperpigmentation refers to certain areas of skin being darker than surrounding areas. It stems from an overproduction of the pigment melanin.

  • Hyaluronic acid can help increase the moisture content in your skin, which can have various skin benefits, including reducing the appearance of wrinkles and improving wound healing, among others. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring glycosaminoglycan found throughout the body's connective tissue.

  • Salmon DNA serum aims to boost your skin's vitality by increasing collagen and elasticity fibers. This results in a tighter, more radiant complexion. It also helps to minimize signs of aging, like fine lines and wrinkles, especially around the eyes.

What Is Micro-Needling, And How Does It Work?

Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure. It involves pricking the skin with tiny sterilized needles. The small wounds cause your body to make more collagen and elastin, which heal your skin and help you look younger. You might also hear it called collagen induction therapy.

This procedure improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of scars, wrinkles, and stretch marks.

Is Micro-Needling Painful, And Is There Any Downtime?

During the procedure, the patient feels gentle pricking; in most patients no anaesthesia is required. After treatment, patients may experience redness and mild swelling, which usually subsides within a few days. There is minimal downtime, and most people can resume their regular activities shortly after the procedure.

How Many Sessions Of Micro-Needling Are Needed For Optimal Results?

Many people see noticeable improvements after just one session, the skin becomes tighter and more radiant, but a series of treatments, often spaced several weeks apart, is usually recommended for best results. Maintenance treatments may also be suggested to maintain the benefits.

Performance of 4 treatments at monthly intervals is recommended.

What Can Micro-Needling Treat, And Who Is An Ideal Candidate?

Micro-needling is commonly used to improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and stretch marks, and enhance overall skin quality. It is suitable for a wide range of skin types and tones.

What Are The Contraindications To The Procedure?

Pregnancy and breastfeeding, severe forms of acne or cystic acne, open wounds, abrasions and inflammation in the treatment area, herpes, neoplastic diseases.
