Dissolving Lips

Dissolving lip filler is a safe, effective cosmetic treatment for people who experience complications from lip injections or don't like their results.
Hyaluronidase injections are used to dissolve lip fillers that are made from hyaluronic acid (You can only dissolve lip fillers that contain hyaluronic acid). Hyaluronidase is a soluble protein enzyme naturally produced in the body to break down fillers. It works by breaking up the bonds that hold the hyaluronic acid molecules (filler) together.
Injecting a concentrated amount allows the hyaluronidase to dissolve hyaluronic acid fillers and helps the lips regain their natural shape quickly.

About Dissolving Lips:
YOU MAY OPT FOR DISSOLVING LIP FILLER TREATMENT IF:
-
You've had poorly placed lip fillers resulting in uneven, botched lips.
-
Filler has been injected too close to the surface of the lips, creating bumps or hard lumps.
-
You experience bruising, discolouration and painful or sensitive lips due to overfilling the lips.

Cost for Hyaluronidase injections: £200 per treatment - 30 minutes
Number Of Sessions: 1
I typically recommend a waiting period of at least 2-4 weeks to ensure the dissolved filler has been fully absorbed and to assess the natural lip volume accurately. This period also minimises the risk of complications and provides a better outcome for further enhancements. If filler is re-injected, it is performed at much lower volumes.
Treatment Time: 30 Minutes

What Are The Potential Benefits Of Dissolving Lip Filler?
Dissolving a lip filler is a relatively safe and quick option to fix complications or undesirable results from dermal lip fillers. It doesn’t require any downtime and typically has only minor side effects.
Do Your Lips Go Back To Normal After Dissolving?
Dissolving lip filler can reduce the effects of dermal lip fillers made of hyaluronic acid. This will make your lips return to the way they looked before you got lip fillers. This procedure might be right for you if you got lip fillers and had complications or if you dislike your results.

Healthcare providers can usually dissolve lip filler in one to two visits. For instances of large amounts of filler or nodules, it may take more than one session. You may notice some results immediately, but it can take up to two weeks to see the full results.
Can I Partially Dissolve Lip Filler?
Sometimes, you may only want to dissolve one area of lip filler. If you have a lump on your lips or an area you don’t like, it’s possible to partially dissolve lip filler. Typically, healthcare providers use a smaller amount of hyaluronidase to do this.

How Soon After Dissolving Lip Filler Can I Get More Filler?
It takes up to two weeks for hyaluronic acid to completely break down. So, if you want to redo your lip filler, it’s best to wait at least 14 days before injecting more lip filler.
